Close ties with US have become weakness: Canada PM Carney

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Sunday said many of the country's former strengths linked to close ties with US have become weaknesses. "The US has fundamentally changed its approach to trade, raising its tariffs to levels last seen during the great depression", Carney further said. US President Donald Trump earlier said that Canada should be the 51st US state.
