Closer to Naxal-free Chhattisgarh: CM as Maoist leaders surrender
Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai said the state is moving closer to becoming Naxal-free after Thippiri Tirupathi alias Devuji, highest-ranking member of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist), surrendered in Telangana. Calling it a “major achievement”, he noted Devuji was a Politburo member. Another Maoist leader, Sangram, has also surrendered, he added.
