Closure of Argentina's central bank not negotiable: President-elect Milei

The office of Argentina's President-elect Javier Milei said the closure of the country's central bank is a "non-negotiable matter" despite "false rumours that have been spread". During his presidential campaign, the far-right libertarian pledged to dollarise economy, abolish central bank and privatise pension system. Notably, inflation in Argentina is 143%, with 4 in 10 citizens living in poverty.
