Clothing is a necessity, Russians have right to live: Uniqlo as it stays open in Russia

Fast Retailing, the parent company of Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo, on Monday defended its decision to keep the Russian stores open amid rival brands suspending operations in the country over the invasion of Ukraine. Tadashi Yanai, President of Fast Retailing, said, "Clothing is a necessity of life. The people of Russia have the same right to live as we do."
