Cloud hosting firm Vercel confirms data breach, hackers offer user data for $2 million
Vercel, a cloud hosting provider, has confirmed a security breach that exposed a "limited" subset of customer credentials. The incident originated with a compromise of Context.ai, a third-party AI tool used by an employee, allowing hackers to access some internal Vercel systems via the employee's Google Workspace account, Vercel said. The hackers have reportedly offered user data for $2 million.
