Cloudburst in Pahalgam triggers flash floods; houses, hotels damaged

Several hotels and houses were damaged after a cloudburst triggered flash floods in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam on Saturday. The overflowing water flooded at least half a dozen hotels, while several houses were affected and a bridge was washed away. The intense rainfall hit the forest areas of Awoora and Dehwathu in Anantnag district, officials said. No casualties were reported.
