CM announces ₹10 lakh aid for kin of those killed in WB violence

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has announced an ex gratia of ₹10 lakh for the family of three persons who died in violence in Murshidabad during a protest against the Waqf Act. Over 150 people have been arrested in connection with the violence, which forced hundreds of Hindu families to flee their homes and take shelter elsewhere.
