CM Mamata says TMC will cross 300 seats in the 294-seat Bengal Assembly, corrects herself later

As the voting for West Bengal Assembly polls is concluding, CM Mamata Banerjee said her party TMC will even cross 300 seats in the 294-seat state assembly. She later corrected herself, saying that the party will win over 226 seats in the 2026 elections. Majority of exit polls predicted BJP's win in the state while some gave edge to TMC.
