CNG vehicle sales to hit 1.1 million, 3x growth since 2016

Domestic sales of CNG vehicles are expected to reach 1.1 million units by the end of this fiscal year, a 3-times increase from 2.6 million in 2016, as per a Crisil report. This growth is attributed to the government's push for cleaner fuels. The CNG vehicle count in India will rise to 7.5 million, reflecting a 12% CAGR.
