Coal India to invest ₹1,900 cr to develop cleaner coal technology

State-owned Coal India Limited revealed in an exchange filing on Tuesday that it plans to invest ₹1,900 crore in research activities to develop cleaner coal technology, improve mining productivity and reduce emissions. The company added that it is currently executing 19 research and development projects worth ₹225 crore under the National Centre for Coal and Energy Research's supervision.
