Cockroach found in patient's food at Kalwa hospital, Maha FDA shuts canteen

The Maharashtra FDA has closed the canteen at Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)-run Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa after a cockroach was found in food served to a patient. “The facility will remain closed until a full inspection is completed,” an official said. Meanwhile, the hospital has arranged hygienic, safe and nutritious meals from an alternative provider.
