Coco Chanel introduced the 'Little Black Dress'

French fashion designer Gabrielle Bonheur 'Coco' Chanel introduced the 'Little Black Dress' in the 1920s. Popularly known as an 'LBD' now, a picture of the dress first appeared in Vogue America in 1926 with the words 'the frock that all the world will wear'. Today marks the late designer's 47th death anniversary.
