Coding platform GitLab becomes unicorn after raising $100 mn

US-based coding platform GitLab has become a unicorn after raising $100 million in funding at a valuation of over $1 billion. The round was led by Silicon Valley fund ICONIQ Capital, with participation from Khosla Ventures and Alphabet's GV. Founded in 2014, the startup competes with GitHub, which was acquired by Microsoft in a $7.5-billion deal earlier this year.
