Coforge names Akhil Gupta as Chairman after boardroom crisis

Coforge has appointed former Bharti Enterprises Vice-Chairman Akhil Kumar Gupta as chairperson and independent director for five years. The move follows former chairman O P Bhatt's resignation on September 9 after an audit found he withheld a board evaluation report that gave his own performance the lowest rating. Coforge shares fell over 5%, wiping out ₹4,400 crore in value.
