Cognizant may cut jobs as it slashes growth forecast by half

American IT giant Cognizant announced it is considering job cuts, after the company nearly halved its 2019 revenue expectations from the 7-9% range to around 3.6-5%. The company's headcount growth had outstripped revenue growth in the past two quarters, it said. The job cuts are most likely to hit employees working at the middle level, as per reports.
