US-based global IT services provider Cognizant Technology Solutions on Monday reported a rise of 17.9% year-on-year in revenue for the quarter ended December to $3.23 billion. The income for the quarter rose to $423.4 million from $362.9 million in the year-ago period. However, revenue and profits were below analysts' estimates as clients worldwide cut back on routine IT services spending.
