Coin paid as bus fare in England turns out to be 2000-yr-old relic
A coin used to pay bus fare in England turned out to be a 2000-year-old relic dating back to the Carthaginian empire. The discovery was made by Peter Edwards, whose grandfather collected bus fares in 1950s and then separated coins which couldn't be cashed. The coin, which bears the image of the god Melqart, was donated to Leeds Discovery Centre.
