Colombia asks US to pause tariffs after 7.4 earthquake

Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella urged US President Donald Trump to suspend tariffs on Colombian goods after a 7.4-magnitude earthquake killed nearly 300 people. He said he made the request to "give some relief to...business owners, who are facing very difficult times due to...earthquake". US tariffs on many Colombian products rose to 12.5% from 10% in late July.
