Companies importing high-end furniture & gadgets from China under ED scanner: Report

The ED is charging companies that imported high-end furniture, electronic goods, gadgets and leather items, for violation of anti-money laundering and forex rules, reported NDTV Profit. These companies allegedly under-invoiced imported goods to save taxes and sent the balance amount to the tune of ₹50,000 crore to China-based sellers through hawala syndicates in the last six months.
