Compensation (money) for wife under section 22 of DV act

Women are entitled to monetary compensation under the domestic violence act. In 2019, the Bombay HC refused to interfere with a family court order directing a 75-year-old husband to pay ₹1 lakh compensation to his 72-year-old wife under section 22 of the DV act. The Domestic Violence act has no boundaries in terms of age or other factors.
