Complete lockdown in Madurai for 1 week as TN COVID-19 cases cross 62k

Tamil Nadu government on Monday imposed complete lockdown in Madurai Corporation limits and some adjoining areas from midnight of Tuesday, June 23, till midnight of June 30. Only essential services will be permitted in these areas during this period, said a government order. Coronavirus cases in Tamil Nadu climbed to 62,087 with 2,710 new cases recorded in last 24 hours.
