Composers in South are paid 5 times more than in Bollywood: Amaal

Singer-composer Amaal Mallik spoke about the lack of equal rights in Bollywood's music industry. Stating how his earnings for 'Sooraj Dooba Hain' didn't reach ₹1 crore despite making ₹60-70 crore for the label, he said, "There are composers in the South earning ₹10-15 crore while retaining their rights. In [Bollywood], composers get ₹2-3 crore and give everything up."
