'Comrade's privilege?' asks INC MLA as actor Vinayakan gets bail

As 'Jailer' actor Vinayakan was released on bail, Congress MLA Uma Thomas criticised Kerala Police for only slapping bailable sections against him for creating commotion at a police station in an intoxicated state. The award-winning actor had been summoned to the station over a dispute with his wife. Thomas asked whether his release was a "privilege of being a comrade".
