Confirmed Ebola cases cross 1,500 in Congo, 473 deaths reported

The Democratic Republic of the Congo reported confirmed cases of Ebola rose to 1,502 including 473 deaths amid the ongoing outbreak. Congo's health authorities said 628 patients are in isolation or being treated while 229 people have recovered. Earlier, Congo banned public gatherings in capital city Kinshasa and three other provinces last week and ordered submission of daily surveillance reports.
