Cong expels Nawab Kazim Ali for 6 yrs for backing BJP's Rampur candidate

The Congress' Uttar Pradesh unit on Thursday expelled former MLA Nawab Kazim Ali Khan from the party for six years for supporting BJP's candidate Akash Saxena in the Rampur Sadar Assembly by-elections. The expulsion letter said Khan's action comes under the ambit of indiscipline. Notably, he was also expelled from the party in 2016 for cross-voting in Rajya Sabha elections.
