Congress MP shares pics of Pt Nehru's handwritten 'Tryst with Destiny' I-Day speech

Congress MP Jairam Ramesh shared pictures of a handwritten draft of first PM Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's famous 'Tryst with Destiny' speech, delivered on the eve of India's Independence on August 15, 1947. "He had penned it as 'date with destiny', but in a moment of true genius, delivered it as 'tryst with destiny'," said Ramesh. The draft is dated 14/08/1947.
