Cong-JD(S) challenges Guv's nomination of Anglo-Indian MLA

The Congress-JD(S) alliance has filed a plea in the Supreme Court against Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala for nominating an Anglo-Indian MLA to the state assembly before BJP's floor test. Claiming that the move was aimed at helping the BJP prove they have the support of the majority in the assembly, the petition appealed that the nomination should be set aside.
