Congo accuses Apple of using smuggled minerals in its products

Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) accused Apple of using smuggled tin, tungsten and tantalum (known as 3T minerals) from the country in its products, AP reported. Apple's products "rely on supply chains that are...tainted by the blood of Congolese people", Congo said. "We found no reasonable basis for concluding that any of our [mineral sources]...financed...armed groups in DRC," Apple said.
