Congo bans gatherings in capital city Kinshasa amid Ebola outbreak

The Democratic Republic of Congo banned public gatherings in capital city Kinshasa and three other provinces amid an Ebola outbreak that has killed over 360 people. Authorities in these provinces were ordered to submit daily surveillance reports and monitor people showing symptoms. Opposition parties alleged the ban was "politically motivated" as it came ahead of a planned protest in Kinshasa.
