Congo DR qualify for FIFA World Cup knockouts for the first time in history

Congo DR defeated Uzbekistan 3-1 in their final Group K match to register their first win in FIFA World Cup history. With the win, Congo also qualified for the FIFA World Cup knockouts for the first time ever. Congo DR finished third in Group K and advanced to the Round of 32 as one of the eight best third-placed teams.
