Congress, allies win zero seats in North East by-polls

Congress and its allies won zero seats in North East as BJP-led NEDA won all eight Assembly seats that went to bypolls in Assam, Meghalaya and Sikkim. BJP won Dholai, Behali, and Samaguri seats in Assam while AGP and UPPL won Bongaigaon and Sidli seats respectively. NPP secured Meghalaya's Gambegre seat. Sikkim Krantikari Morcha won both seats in the state.
