Congress candidate Daimari quits party day before Assam polls

Congress candidate from Assam's Udalguri, Suren Daimari, announced he has resigned from the party a day before the Assembly elections. Stating that Congress "betrayed" him, he said, "They defrauded me. Even after giving me the ticket, they didn't respond. I called them multiple times, but they didn’t answer."
