Congress ends alliance with Akhil Gogoi's party in Assam, says it engages in propaganda

The Congress party on Thursday terminated its alliance with Akhil Gogoi-led Raijor Dal in Assam, alleging it indulges in malicious propaganda and violated the alliance's norms repeatedly. Congress leaders accused Raijor Dal of targeting and making "derogatory and unwarranted" remarks against the party and its leadership. Raijor Dal was part of a six-party alliance in the last Assembly elections.
