Congress fields Jay Narayan from Puri as Sucharita returns ticket

Congress party fielded Jay Narayan Patnaik from Puri Lok Sabha seat after Sucharita Mohanty decided not to contest the upcoming elections, citing insufficient financial support from the party. However, Mohanty said that she will remain a loyal Congress worker. BJP has fielded Sambit Patra from Puri, while BJD candidate is ex-IPS Arup Patnaik, a former Mumbai Police commissioner.
