Congress govt responsible for deaths of freedom fighters: Goa CM

Goa CM Pramod Sawant held the post-Independence Congress government responsible for the deaths of freedom fighters. He said that freedom fighters from across India came to fight the Portuguese to liberate Goa but the "then Congress government failed to protect them", which was "their responsibility". His remarks came at an event to lay the foundation stone for upgrading Martyrs Memorial.
