Congress' Iqbal Hussain defeats ex-PM's grandson in Ramanagara

Nikhil Kumaraswamy, the son of former Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy and grandson of former PM HD Deve Gowda, lost the Ramanagara constituency in Karnataka. Congress candidate HA Iqbal Hussain won the seat by a margin of 10,715 votes. Notably, Ramanagara is considered a JD(S) bastion. Nikhil had lost the 2019 Lok Sabha election too from Mandya to Sumalatha Ambareesh.
