Congress leader Dr Ketan Bhatikar dies aged 38 after snakebite in Goa

Goa Congress leader Dr Ketan Bhatikar died after being bitten by a snake, police said. "Bhatikar had got down at Karmal Ghat, on the Goa-Karnataka border, for some reason when a snake bit him. He was rushed to a hospital in Goa's Dharbandora, where doctors declared him dead," police said. Bhatikar was Congress candidate during recently cancelled Ponda assembly bypoll.
