Congress MLA Harshad Ribadiya resigns ahead of Gujarat polls

Congress MLA and Patidar community leader Harshad Ribadiya resigned from Gujarat Assembly membership on Tuesday. Speaker Nimaben Acharya accepted his resignation after she was convinced that he has resigned on his own and without any pressure, a statement by the state Assembly claimed. Ribadiya was an MLA from Visavadar in Junagadh district. This comes ahead of the Gujarat Assembly elections.
