Congress MP says govt doesn't give funds to Kerala, TN; FM responds

Congress MP Manickam Tagore alleged that the Centre doesn't release funds to states, including Kerala and Tamil Nadu, despite approved allocations. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman replied that funds are released in tranches, and states have to furnish a Utilisation Certificate after each tranche. "For instance, ₹311.95 crore has been approved for Kerala, and zero amount is drawn," she added.
