Congress picks VD Satheesan as Kerala's new CM, 10 days after poll results

Congress has chosen senior leader VD Satheesan as the new Chief Minister of Kerala, 10 days after the Congress-led UDF won 102 seats in the 140-member Assembly. This comes after senior Congress leadership, including Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, met party President Mallikarjun Kharge at his Delhi residence. Satheesan was in the fray for the post alongside KC Venugopal.
