Congress protests as venue of Rahul's Dehradun event shifted; DM explains why

Senior Uttarakhand Congress leaders protested at Dehradun's Parade Ground after the permission for Rahul Gandhi's 'Chhatron ki Goonj' event was allegedly "revoked due to pressure from the state government". However, Dehradun DM Ashish Chauhan said a central government event, 'Lok Samvardhan Parv', at the venue was extended until July 17. Gandhi's event would now be held at Bannu School Ground.
