Congress suspends Phillaur MLA for opposing ex-CM Channi's candidature from Jalandhar

Congress has suspended Phillaur MLA Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary for “anti-party activities” after he allegedly opposed former Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi’s candidature from the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat. “Until further action is taken...you are henceforth removed from all party positions held by you and suspended from the party till further orders,” said Congress’ Punjab incharge Devender Yadav.
