Congress urges NGT to make Great Nicobar project report public

Congress' Jairam Ramesh urged the National Green Tribunal (NGT) to make the high-powered committee report on the Great Nicobar project public. Ramesh said the tribunal was forced to clear the "ecologically disastrous" project based on the report. He asked the tribunal to do so before the Lok Sabha takes up the Tribunals Reform Bill to overhaul 16 tribunals, including NGT.
