Congress wins 8 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab, BJP 2, SAD 2 and AAP 1

The Congress party on Thursday won eight of the 13 seats in the 17th Lok Sabha elections in Punjab, clinching the Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Patiala seats among others. The BJP's candidates Sunny Deol and Som Parkash won from Gurdaspur and Hoshiarpur respectively. Shiromani Akali Dal's Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Sukhbir Singh Badal won from Bathinda and Firozpur respectively.
