Continuation of structural reforms of defence forces: Rajnath on 2-yr extension for Agniveers

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, reacting to two-year service extension for Agniveers, thanked PM Narendra Modi for taking the decision. "This decision is continuation of long-term structural reforms of....defence forces, aimed at creating a younger, fitter, technologically equipped and future-ready military," he stated. It allows willing Agniveers to serve for a total of six years instead of four.
