Contractors fined ₹6 cr, 5 arrested after Mumbai metro slab collapse kills 1

A ₹6 crore penalty has been imposed on the contractors, and five people have been arrested after a metro slab collapse in Mumbai's Mulund killed one and injured three others. Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde announced an increased compensation of ₹15 lakh for the family of the deceased and ordered a safety and structural audit of the entire Metro stretch.
