Core of a gas planet seen for the first time: Astronomers

Astronomers have found an exoplanet they believe is the core of a once giant planet like Jupiter that was maybe stripped of its gaseous atmosphere. TOI-849b, orbits a star located 730 light years from Earth. They added it is the first planetary core to have ever been found. It orbits closer to its star than Mercury does to the Sun.
