The inventor of corn flakes, Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, created the cereal as part of his health movement “biological living”, which aimed at curing indigestion as well as preventing people from having sex. Kellogg wrote about the dangers of sex and masturbation, stating that bland cereal was the remedy that would keep Americans’ diets from 'leading them to sin'.
