Corporate Amendment Bill to revamp penalties, digitise compliance

Corporate Affairs Ministry plans Corporate Amendment Bill to further decriminalise defaults, digitise compliance, and streamline processes under Companies Act, 2013 and LLP Act, 2008, CNBC-TV18 reported. Bill is likely to be tabled in the second half of the Budget session, which resumes on March 9, Moneycontrol reported. Minor procedural offences are likely to move to in-house civil adjudication.
