Cosmetics brand CoverGirl appoints first male spokesperson

American cosmetics brand CoverGirl has appointed its first male spokesperson, 17-year-old makeup artist James Charles from New York. Singer Katy Perry, who is another CoverGirl brand ambassador, announced the news on Instagram, "Honored to have the pleasure to announce the very first COVERBOY, James Charles!" Charles will reportedly be appearing in advertisements for CoverGirl’s newest mascara.
